Joseph FORD was baptised on 30th April 1786 in Alderley, Cheshire to parents Stephen & Martha FORD. The parish marriage records page 121 No.22 show Joseph FORD, Bachelor of this parish, occupation - weaver and Betty BRACEGIRDLE of this parish, Spinister were married on 29th January 1807 by W Bownless, Minister of Chadkirk. Both signed with their mark X in the presence of Sam Wood and Henry Clarkson. 1. In 1808 Joseph and Elizabeth FORD had their first child, Hannah at Deans Row, Wilmslow. 2. On 1 January 1811 there is a baptism registered at Wilmslow to Jos & Eliz FORD of Chorley, daughter Mary. 3. On 14 March 1814, there is a baptism registered at the Unitarian Chapel Dean Row to Joseph & Elizabeth FORD, a daughter Eliza FORD, born 17 June 1813. There is a record for a John FORD born/died 1815 at Chadkirk Chapel, St Chad which is a possible child for our Joseph FORD & Elizabeth BRACEGIRDLE. 5. Joseph was born at Chorley or Alderley, Cheshire on 1 March 1816. His baptism is recorded at Lende End Wesleyan, Wilmslow on 28 April 1816 by Thomas HARRIS. 6. In 1818 there is another baptism registered to Joseph and Elizabeth FORD of Hough, at the Wilmslow Parish Church. This child was named Elizabeth, baptised on 20 September 1818, Joseph's occupation is listed as weaver. 7.On 11 May 1820, Sarah, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth FORD of Chorley in the parish of Wilmslow was born. Sarah was baptised by Jno DAVIS on 19 June 1820 at Lende End Wesleyan Wilmslow. 8. On 1 October 1822, Ann FORD was born, she is recorded on the Parish records as being baptised at the Unitarian Chapel Dean Row on 30 April 1823, the 8th child of Joseph FORD and Elizabeth BRACEGIRDLE of the township of Chorley, Parish Wilmslow, County of Chester. Joseph's occupation is recorded as farmer and weaver. 9. John was born 26 August 1824 1824 and baptised 19 December 1824 also at Dean Row, he is listed as the 9th Child of Joseph FORD and Elizabeth BRACEGIRDLE 10.Then comes the baby of the family - our Thomas FORD baptised on 24th June 1827 at Wilmslow Parish Church to Joseph and Elizabeth FORD. Abode - Hough, father's occupation is listed as farmer.

Plot 1883, Meadow across Lane, Meadow, 1 acre, 2 rood and 35 perches. Plot 1884, Big Orchard, Arable, 6 acres and 2 perches.

Plot 2208, Pit Field, Pasture, 4 acres, 3 rood, 28 perches. Plot 2209, House Meadow, Meadow, 1 acre, 3 rood, 4 perches. Plot 2210, HOMESTEAD etc, 3 rood, 12 perches. Plot 2215, Aarons Acre, Pasture, 4 acres, 12 perches.
