Family Memories

Martha is the first child to be baptised of John and Martha FORD.

The parish register for Mobberley has the following entry:

Martha, daughter of John Ford of Warford, taylor and Martha his wife was baptised Sept 20th 1725.

We have been unable to find a marriage for Martha, but the Bishop's Transcripts for this area at this period of time are damaged and hard to read.

There is a death registered in the Parish Records at Mobberley, which could be either this Martha (if she remained unmarried) or her mother:

Martha Ford, buried 21 April 1773.

There is no monumental inscription recorded.
