John FORD was the 9th child of Joseph FORD and Elizabeth FORD (nee BRACEGIRDLE) born in 1824.
In 1848, he married Martha BATE (sister to Eliza BATE who married his brother Thomas FORD on 28th December 1848 at Cathedral Church Manchester). John and Martha FORD were witnesses to the wedding of Thomas and Eliza FORD.
Haven't found John FORD on the 1841 census yet, he would be aged about 17 years and not living with parents, but not married yet.
On the 1851 census, John and Martha FORD are living at Hough, Bollin Fee, near his parents Joseph and Elizabeth FORD and his brother Thomas & Eliza FORD. John's birth place is listed as Bollin Fee.
